About

Fighting Fernweh is a running log of my struggle to stay in one place, because a life without travel is not an option.

It may not always be about road trips and scenic tours. Think of it as a log of life’s interesting places, physical and emotional.

I am. a traveler of the world. an overly observant person. an over-thinker and under-doer. a writer. a doodler. a photographer who often forgets to bring her camera. a road rage maniac in her vehicle, yet a non-confrontational mouse in front of you. a lover of soft socks, and no pants. in a love affair with music. a person who feels too deeply. a reader who gets lost in her books. a lover of languages. an imitator of accents. a freckled hipster.

“It is the experiences, the memories, the great triumphant joy of living to the fullest extent in which real meaning is found. God it’s great to be alive! Thank you. Thank you.”
― Jon Krakauer, Into the Wild
